Emil Seehusen is a Danish architect with a degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (Master of Science) and the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, School of Architecture(Master of Arts). He is a member of the Danish Association of Architects and the British Architectural Association Board and holds a Diploma of Higher Education(Dip. Ed.).
Seehusen’s professional experience includes having worked as Foster + Partners in London(2010-2013), architect part 3, as well as having taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, teaching assistant professor(2013-2019), and co-head of the master program; Architecture, Space and Time (2017-2018).
Seehusen has an interest in international pedagogical projects. He has experience conducting digital, intercontinental workshops between students from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and universities in Africa and Europe (Itinerant Platform 2020, 2021). In addition, Seehusen has taught architecture in Somaliland (2018,2020), lectured in Djibouti(2019), and conducted month-long field investigations for Royal Academy students on the informal city surrounding Maputo in Mozambique(2016, 2018), as well as being a guest critic at the Architectural Association in London.
